Chuanfeng Zhao successfully defends his Doctoral Dissertation in June 2007.

The Department of Meteorology announces that Chuanfeng Zhao successfully defended his Doctoral Dissertation entitled "Effects of Arctic Haze on Low-Level Stratus Properties and the Surface Radiation Budget" on June 25, 2007.  The dissertation research was conducted under the direction of Dr. Tim Garrett, with Supervisory Committee members Xiquan Dong, Steve Krueger, Jay Mace, and Kevin Perry.  Chuanfeng received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Peking University.  He and his family will be moving to Berkley, California, where he has accepted a Postdoctoral position with  the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
