Rockwell Collins contributes $10,000 to Zipser Fund

Rockwell Collins, a recognized leader in the design, production, and support of communication and aviation electronics for over 70 years, has donated $10,000 to the Department's "Edward J. Zipser Research Fund", which was recently established by Ed and Marelynn Zipser to support field program research in tropical and mesoscale meteorology.  Dr. Zipser has an ongoing collaboration with Rockwell Collins to improve the detection of hazardous weather by aviation radar systems.
