MesoWest DATA MAXIMUM and MINIMUM FLAGGING CRITERIA

The first level of quality control for the data collected for MesoWest Mesonet is to determine whether a given variable value is within a expected range. If just one variable from a site (at a given time) is outside its expected range it will be flagged as "bad". The quality control variable QFLAG will be set to a value of -1. The range of reasonable values is provided in the table below. QFLAG is also set to -1 if the difference between the wind gust and wind speed is greater than or equal to 75 knots.
