UPDATE (7/16/08): The expected MesoWest outage on Saturday July 19, 2008 has been cancelled. We anticipate that all MesoWest and ROMAN products will be available.

UPDATE (7/14/2008): The erroneous update of metadata APRSWXNET/CWOP stations that occurred on 7/10/08 has been mostly resolved as of the morning of 7/15/08. The errant data effected approximately 1400 stations, most of which have now been restored to their proper locations. However, this updating is contigent upon receiving current observations, a process which also prompts a review of the metadata. Thus for stations currently experience unrelated outages, or that have intermittent transmission, the update will occur when we again receive data from that station. Furthermore, a few of the MesoWest location based products will not be fully updated until midnight on 7/14/08. We thank you for your patience on this matter.

UPDATE (6/02/2008): The "postage stamp" maps that display the station location on a countour map have changed. Topozone was bought by trails.com which is a subscription service. In order to continue to provide valuable geographic information the maps are now provided by google maps with the terrain and contour layer selected.

NOTE: The current operational status will no longer be manually updated. However, you can use the automated page to check on the situation yourself by clicking here: http://raws.wrh.noaa.gov/roman/help/monitor.html
